While I'm not sure how much I agree with some of these points, on #1 and #2 I agree completely. Split infinitives and ending sentences with prepositions as no-no's are holdovers from Latin scholars writing on English grammar in the 1700's--both of these things are *impossible* in Latin and thus were marked down as improper in English. Just because the Romans couldn't doesn't mean it's wrong for us! :D
